ARTE, BBC, ZDF & More to Take Part in Avant Première 2017

VIENNA: Avant Première Music + Media Market, an annual co-production market for the international performing arts TV and media industry, is gearing up to host delegates from such companies as ARTE, NRK, BBC, EBU, NHK and ZDF.

Billed as the largest B2B event of its kind, Avant Première will take place from February 11 to 15 in Berlin. From February 12 to 15, the Avant Première Screenings will feature more than 500 cultural film productions by 70 international production companies for worldwide co-production and transmission. The 2017 event will see China and Japan present in a large-scale conference program.

As part of a “Virtual Reality Focus” in 2017, exclusive partner NHK Japan Broadcasting Corporation will showcase a state-of-the-art 8K Ultra High Definition installation. This year’s interactive science exposition features brands, products and content presented by ARTE G.E.I.E., ARTE France, Google Play and INVR. SPACE, among others.

The event also offers a chance for face-to-face conversations with representatives from major international public and private broadcasting companies such as ARTE, BBC, EBU (European Broadcasting Union), Foxtel, NHK Japan Broadcasting Corporation, NRK Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation and SVT Swedish Television.

Avant Première and the EFM are continuing their cooperation, jointly presenting the 8K-Special Screening by NHK at the Avant Première premises at Hotel Scandic.
