Angus Ross Steps Down at Seven West Media

Angus Ross, group managing director of Seven West Media, has exited the company after a 27-year tenure.

“I’m incredibly sad to let you all know that today will be my last day at Seven after nearly 27 years—and wow, what a ride!” Ross said in a memo to staff. “It has been such a pleasure and a privilege to work alongside each of you. I am so proud of what we’ve achieved together—most of the time on the smell of an oily rag! Ever the underdogs.”

Throughout his tenure, Ross helped shepherd the success of Border Security, MKR, House Rules, Home and Away and many more.

“All this success only happens because you genuinely care about the content,” he said. “Keep fighting for it.”

In addition to Ross’s exit, Trent Dickeson, who has been with the company for 13 years, is also leaving.

As part of this internal restructure, Seb Rennie has been promoted to chief commercial officer and Stephen Haddad has been upped to chief operating officer.

“These appointments are designed to establish stability, clarity and maximise earnings growth through our integration,” said Heith Mackay-Cruise in a message to staff. “I am confident that we are now supported by a highly capable and committed leadership group to navigate this next chapter for our organization.”
