Amity Grants Genius US DVD Rights to Big Comfy Couch

NASHVILLE, June 27: Amity
Entertainment, the worldwide merchandising and licensing rights-holder of The
Big Comfy Couch, has granted
Genius Products the U.S. DVD and audio distribution rights to 100 episodes of
the preschool program.

The agreement includes the
current season of 22 episodes, launching in the U.S. later this year on public
television stations. Both companies are also planning a joint Spanish-language
release of the series, which premiered in 1995. It aims to promote social,
emotional and cognitive development in preschoolers.
