LONDON: Amazon has expanded its Prime Video downloads in the U.S., U.K., Germany and Australia to iOS and Android platforms, allowing members to access movies and TV episodes for offline viewing at no additional charge.

Titles available on Prime Video to download for offline viewing include dramas such as the Amazon original series Bosch, along with the Amazon exclusive Outlander and U.S. shows such as Extant, Vikings, Arrow, Intelligence, The Walking Dead, Black Sails and more. On the comedy front, the service counts on original series such as the award-winning Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle. Also featured are a host of blockbuster movies and kids’ exclusives such as the preschool series Tumble Leaf and the live-action show Annedroids.

“There’s no doubt that the way people watch entertainment is changing—anytime, anywhere viewing is important and we are excited to provide our Prime members with offline viewing capabilities on iOS and Android platforms starting today,” stated Jay Marine, the VP of digital video at Amazon EU. “We are proud to be the first and only online subscription streaming service that enables offline viewing—on holiday, in a car, at the beach, on a plane, wherever our Prime members want to watch they can, regardless of internet connection.”
