Amazing Race Scores 15th Season Renewal

BURBANK: CBS has signed up for a 15th edition of the Emmy Award-winning reality series The Amazing Race for 2009-10, with the current season averaging almost 11 million viewers on Sunday nights.

The show, which has won six Emmy Awards, is averaging 10.94 million viewers and has been winning its time slot in total viewers, adults 18 to 49 and adults 25 to 54. Casting is already under way for the next edition. The show is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram van Munster and Jonathan Littman for Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Earthview in association with ABC Television Studio and Amazing Race Productions. It was created by Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri, and is sold worldwide by Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, which also handles the format rights to the series.
