All3Media Secures Deals for Elizabeth I Mini-Series

LONDON: February 27: All3Media International has licensed
its acclaimed mini-series Elizabeth I, featuring
recent Academy-Award winner Helen Mirren, for broadcast into a range of new
territories, including Spain with free-TV station Cuatro.

Additional deals for the series have also been reached with ABC
Australia, NBC in Italy, Telepool in Germany, SVT in Sweden and a range of
Hallmark channels worldwide, including the Asia, Africa and Eastern European
feeds. The mini-series has been licensed into a total of more than 180
territories, and previously announced deals include Canal Plus in France, NHK
in Japan, VRT and BETV in Belgium, RTP in Portugal and NRK in Norway.

Elizabeth I, produced
by Company Pictures for Channel 4 in the U.K. and HBO in the U.S., is a
high-definition drama production starring Jeremy Irons and Helen Mirren. It
focuses on the mature years of the “Virgin Queen” and exposes the conflict
between her sense of duty and the instincts of her heart, her doomed love
affairs and the struggles of a powerful and independent woman battling to
survive in a male dominated world. It is the winner of three Golden Globes and
nine Emmys.
