Alfred Haber Scores Rights to American Music Awards

PALISADES PARK, October 17: Alfred
Haber Distribution, Inc. (AHDI) has finalized an agreement with dick
clark productions to serve as the international distributor for the 35th Annual American
Music Awards (AMA), to be broadcast live in the U.S. on ABC on November 18.

Among the sales
already closed for the three-hour broadcast are ITV2 (U.K.), STAR (pan-regional
Southeast Asia), Foxtel (Australia), TV2 (Denmark), Kanal 5 (Sweden), MNET
(South Africa), NHK (Japan), City TV
(Colombia), Telemicro (Dominican Republic), ITC (Iceland), Tel-Ad (Israel),
Sony Entertainment Television (Latin America), MBC (Middle East), Telefuturo
(Paraguay), Bangkok Broadcasting (Thailand) and Shant TV (Turkey).

The AMAs honor and showcase the talents of some of the
biggest names in the music industry. This year, Jimmy Kimmel will serve as host for the fourth time, and the event will
take place in the new 7,100-seat NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE, opening this
month. Chris Daughtry, Celine Dion, Fergie and Rihanna are just a few of the
artists set to perform, while Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Linkin Park and
Daughtry lead the pack with nominations.

“The American Music Awards are a cultural institution in
America and with audiences around the world,” said Robert
Kennedy, AHDI’s executive VP of worldwide
sales. “The show is a worldwide sensation and is seen in over 100
international television territories.”
