AETN International Bolsters Staff

NEW YORK/LONDON, August
12: AETN International has made two new hires to its executive team, and is
also expanding its international digital media operations.

Christian Murphy has been
named the VP of international, while Will Harrison has been named the VP of
international business development and branded distribution. Both Murphy and
Harrison will report to Sean Cohan, the senior VP of international for AETN. Fabienne
Fourquet, the director of international digital media, will now oversee the
international digital media distribution and international business-to-business
and branded consumer website activities.

Based in New York, Murphy
is responsible for managing international brand marketing strategy for AETN. He
manages consumer and business-to-business marketing activities across 35
channels in 141 countries, on-air and creative execution, research and support
for AETN’s international channel and digital distribution efforts. Prior to joining
AETN, Murphy was the general manager of television and marketing at Australia’s
FOXTEL Management.

Based in London, Harrison is responsible for identifying, evaluating and
executing new international business opportunities. He will also serve as a
strategic advisor to AETN’s local general managers and regional managing
directors. He oversees distribution strategy for AETN channel brands in Europe,
the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia and Latin America. Harrison joins AETN
from The Walt Disney Company, where he served as the VP of ventures and
business development.

Since her appointment as
director of international digital media, Fourquet has executed a number of
partnership agreements across mobile, broadband and VOD platforms in Europe,
Asia and Canada. She also developed and launched AETN’s first mobile WAP site
for The History Channel in the U.K. Fourquet previously designed AETN
International’s business-to-business websites and has supervised the rollout of
consumer websites for the company’s international channel partners.

international channel distribution, syndicated program sales and digital
