Additional TV Movies for Nora Roberts Franchise

MUNICH, April 7: Mandalay Television and Stephanie
Germain Productions, in association with Germany’s Tandem Communications, are
working on the next collection of four additional prime-time TV movies based on
the hit books by author Nora Roberts.

Six additional books by Nora Roberts are being
developed in order to produce another four movies in the next collection. Peter
Guber’s Mandalay Television will again team up with producing veteran Stephanie
Germain to turn Roberts’ thrillers into a new collection of event movies. A
30-year veteran as a producer, Guber’s credits include movies such as Midnight
Express
, The
Color Purple
,
Rainman
,
Batman
and
Flashdance
.
Stephanie Germain’s recent credits include the Emmy-nominated Ike: Countdown to D-Day for A&E; Gracie’s Choice, a Lifetime original movie; and
the Showtime series Jeremiah. She has also served as executive producer on the
Twentieth Century Fox release of The Day After Tomorrow.

The new deal follows the worldwide success of the
first four TV movies: Montana Sky, Angels Fall, Blue Smoke and Carolina Moon. The first collection has been sold in more than
160 territories, including the U.S. (Lifetime), in Germany (ARD); Spain (Antena
3); Poland; and in Hungary (TV2).

The previous four movies included cast members like
Heather Locklear, Jacqueline Bisset, Claire Forlani, John Corbett, Alicia Witt,
Oliver Hudson, Scott Bakula, Diane Ladd and Talia Shire, among others. More
than 300 million of Nora Roberts’ books have been sold to date.
