ACI Rolls Out The Ten Commandments

LOS ANGELES, September 10: American Cinema International
(ACI) is set to launch the 3-D CGI animated feature The Ten Commandments at this year’s AFM, following its U.S. theatrical
release on October 19.

ACI has acquired the international rights to the film along
with rights for French-speaking Canada. The deal excludes U.S. theatrical
rights. The Ten Commandments is the
first in a branded 12-film series from Promenade Pictures, the family-driven
production and distribution outfit established by former studio head Frank
Yablans.

The Ten Commandments
is the premiere title of a fully-funded brand for Promenade Pictures, which
will be produced by Promenade along with its partners—New Zealand-based
Huhu Studios and Singapore-based iVL Animation (owned by ST Electronics),” said
Cindy Bond, Promenade Pictures’ president and COO. “We are equally pleased to
also align this very special film with such a respected international
distributor as American Cinema International.”

The epic 3-D CGI-animated feature is voiced by Ben Kingsley
(narrator), Christian Slater (Moses), Alfred Molina (Ramses) and Elliott Gould
(God). The film is directed by Bill Boyce (Hermie & Friends) and John Stronach (Ben Hur, Cahoots),
from a screenplay by Ed Naha (Honey, I Shrunk the Kids).
