ABC Unveils New Celebrity Competition Series

BURBANK: Following on the success of Dancing with the Stars, ABC has slated a new celebrity competition series from BBC Worldwide Productions, Skating with the Stars.

The show will watch as celebrities are paired up with world-class ice skaters. The couples will train and then compete in front of a live audience in a televised ice skating competition. The teams will be critiqued by a panel of expert judges and will receive a set of scores based on artistry and technique and by viewers at home. Once couple will be eliminated each week.

The series, slated for a six-episode run, will make its debut with a live premiere episode on November 22 at 9 p.m. The lineup of celebrity participants will be unveiled on-air on November 2 during the live Dancing with the Stars results shows.
