Aardman Inks Publishing Deals with Egmont

BRISTOL, December 8: Aardman is partnering with Egmont
Publishing to release a range of books based on Shaun the Sheep and Wallace and Gromit.

Egmont has acquired the publishing rights to the two
properties for the U.K., Eire and the Commonwealth. The license covers tie-in
publishing rights for Aardman’s upcoming CBBC show Shaun the Sheep and for Wallace and Gromit. Egmont will be launching a range of titles in 2007,
with more titles planned in 2008 and 2009.

Shaun the Sheep
launches in the U.K. on CBBC in 2007. The 40×7-minute show for kids aged 4 to 8
has been picked up by co-producer WDR in Germany and has pre-sold to ABC
Australia, TVNZ New Zealand, SVT Sweden, DRTV Denmark, NRK Norway, YLE Finland
and RTBF in Belgium.
