TV SHOW: Vacation with Derek is a 90-minute live-action TV movie based on Shaftesbury’s hit kids’ comedy series Life with Derek, about step siblings Casey and Derek, two self-obsessed teenagers battling it out for their house, their school, and their world!

DESCRIPTION: Derek and Casey are back and continue their hilarious sibling rivalry during a family vacation to visit their grandmother at her beautiful lakefront lodge. Things heat up with Casey when she meets, Jesse, a handsome young dancer who is a waiter at the lodge. Meanwhile as Derek is ‘chilling’ on his vacation, he falls for Roxy, the rich girl who lives across the lake. But when Roxy’s father, a greedy land developer, threatens to destroy the natural beauty around them, the McDonald-Venturi kids band together to save the lake and the lodge.

The TV movie will see Ashley Leggat and Michael Seater reprising their roles as dueling step-siblings, and will be joined by former cast mates Daniel Magder, Jordan Todosey, Ariel Waller, Joy Tanner and John Ralston. So You Think You Can Dance Canada season one winner Nico Archambault will guest star as Jesse, an aspiring dancer and waiter at the lodge where the McDonald-Venturi’s take their vacation and Kate Trotter will guest star as Felicia, Casey’s grandmother.
