ITV Studios’ Crime Drama Lands New Sales

LONDON: ITV Studios Global Entertainment has notched up a slew of international sales for the crime thriller Lewis, which is now seen in more than 120 territories.

Germany’s ZDF went for seasons two and three, Australia’s Seven took on season four and Latin America’s Pramer snapped up season three. For Holland, KRO bagged the fourth season, as did Belgium’s VRT. NBC’s Hallmark channel in the Middle East is to air season one and two and M-Net in Africa picked up season three.

Klaus Bassiner, the head commissioning editor of drama at ZDF, said, “We premiered Lewis at 10 p.m. in February, where it quickly increased our slot average and delivered a 16-percent share of all viewers. We are delighted to be confirming that seasons two and three will be joining our schedules next year.”

Tobi de Graaff, the director of global TV distribution at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, added, “This MIPCOM we will be launching a portfolio featuring the very best in new and returning drama commissions from around the world, including the brilliant Lewis and Marple, together with all-new thrillers Identity and The Prisoner, which is co-produced with AMC.”
