Beyond Lines Up New Programming

SYDNEY: Among the 150 hours of new programming and 50-plus hours of returning titles in Beyond Distribution‘s catalogue are series such as Kid Detectives, Numberjacks and Love It or List It.

Kid Detectives uses hands-on forensic skills to solve mysteries big and small around the home. Also for kids, Numberjacks helps develop early math skills, knowledge and understanding. The series Milly, Molly is back for a second season, following the adventures of two little girls from very different backgrounds.

In Love It or List It, homeowners must decide whether they’d like to revamp the home they purchased years ago that no longer suits their needs, or put it on the market to sell all together. Also in the lifestyle vein is Chef Worthy, a competition series for amateur cooks.

There’s also specials showcasing the in-your-face comedic stylings of Margaret Cho. Motorway Patrol looks at the police officers who deal with daily chaos on our motorways. Serious Crash Unit gives viewers the opportunity to follow the events that make the difference between life and death on the road. Another real-life series is Gimme Sugar, which follows five friends on the L.A. lesbian club scene, while The T.O. Show is centered on the personal life of NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens.

Further offerings include Medics, about emergency-care experts; The Best Job in the World, about an extraordinary employment opportunity tending to the Great Barrier Reef; Car Czar, about the renewal of rare classic motorcars; and Sport Star Insider, exploring the combination of advanced technology and athletics required to master sports. The adventure travel show Stratusphere features seven-time WWE champion wrestler Trish Stratus, and The Holiday Show follows presenters Ciara Whelan and Jon Slattery as they visit popular holiday destinations.

Beyond is also presenting Gridlock, an hour-long look at new solutions to sitting in traffic jams. Pharma Sutra follows the search for the "female Viagra." Axe Attack Survivor spotlights a man who had to rebuild his life after suffering an brain injury while on duty in Afghanistan. In JUMP!, the competitive world of jump rope is put center stage.

Returning titles in Beyond’s catalogue include Taboo, Deadly Women, Income Property, Crash Investigation Unity, Neighbours at War, The Big Gay Sketch Show and What’s Good for You.
