E1’s Hung a Success on HBO

LOS ANGELES: The E1 Entertainment dramedy Hung has been averaging 9.4 million viewers per episode on HBO, making it the premium cable network’s most watched freshman series in more than five years.

HBO has already renewed the series for a second season. Created by Dmitry Lipkin (The Riches) and Colette Burson, the show uses dark humor to tell the story of a man fighting to survive personal setbacks that have been compounded by a troubled economy. Hung is executive produced by E1 Entertainment’s John Morayniss, Michael Rosenberg and Noreen Halpern. It stars Thomas Jane (The Punisher), Jane Adams (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Anne Heche (Men in Trees), Eddie Jemison (Ocean’s Thirteen), Sianoa Smit-McPhee (As the Bell Rings) and Charlie Saxton (The Lovely Bones).
