LOS ANGELES: The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) acknowledged excellence in professionally generated video web series at the second annual LATV Fest Next TV Competition.

The winners were Lexus: Parts Art (branded entertainment), Natural Hazards (comedy), Bit Museum (documentary/news), The Franki Show (drama), Word to your Mutha, The Show (lifestyle/DIY), Spot Lab (reality/unscripted) and Dueling VHS (long form). Each winner receives a one-year NATPE membership, a complimentary registration to NATPE 2010 in Las Vegas and an opportunity for a development meeting with their category’s sponsoring company. Their winning entry will be played on NATPE’s official site, Stickam.com, NATPE’s YouTube channel and other video-sharing outlets. Additionally, Dueling VHS will get a chance to work with executives in YouTube and Google’s content partnership and branded entertainment groups, while The Franki Show will receive four creative sessions with the Lionsgate digital group.

“NATPE could not have been more impressed with the work that came through our second annual Next TV Competition,” said Rick Feldman, NATPE’s president and CEO. “Online video continues to grow, and we hope that the LATV Fest played a pivotal role in helping launch these web series.”
