Fox Extends Licensing for Animation Franchises

CENTURY CITY: Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising has added an all-new cast of characters to its roster with its addition of the newest Seth MacFarlane creation, The Cleveland Show.

The Cleveland Show will unite with Family Guy product ranges as Fox Licensing expands its targeted licensing program for ages 18 to 34 and teens. For Family Guy, Fox Licensing has signed a new partner, Isaac Morris Limited, to create a line of sportswear, fashion tops and outerwear that are screen-printed, embroidered and embellished. A line of men’s beachwear, which will include board shorts and rash guards, will also be offered. Fox Licensing is also continuing its partnership with American Greetings for printed cards. Aquarius is set to introduce 2010 wall calendars to retail.

Fox Licensing has already signed deals in advance of the fall debut of The Cleveland Show, which will introduce clothing lines from Changes and Briefly Stated, both of which currently license Family Guy. Through the agreements, Changes will introduce T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and more, while Briefly Stated will debut loungewear, underwear and sleepwear.

Family Guy continues to expand its fan base through its smart and explosively hilarious brand of comedy,” said Elie Dekel, the executive VP of Fox Licensing & Merchandising. “These licensing deals speak to the creative genius of Seth MacFarlane and the power of the Family Guy franchise.”
