Latin Deals for Imira

BARCELONA: A number of deals have been signed across Latin America by Imira Entertainment from its third-party slate, which includes the likes of the Jonathan M. Schiff/ZDF Enterprises live-action series The Elephant Princess.

The Elephant Princess went to Chilean free-TV channel Megavision and Teletica in Costa Rica. En Pantalla in Mexico took on home-entertainment rights. In further deals from its animation catalogue, Canal Once in Mexico picked up the preschool series Bali and Brazilian pubcaster TV Escola took the TV right to The Way Things Work and Louie. Louie also went to Señal Colombia.

Begoña Esteban, the sales manager for Iberia and Latin America at Imira Entertainment, said: “Our catalogue has grown in its diversity and we’re able to offer many types of programming from award-winning preschool and animated comedies, to hit teen live action. We have an established position as a third-party animation distributor and are pleased to be steadily building a reputation for live-action sales. Latin America continues to be a major market for us and we’re looking to further extend our presence there.”
