NGCI, Off the Fence Team for Shark Doc

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Alaskan Killer Shark, co-produced by National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) and Off the Fence Productions, takes an in-depth look into the hidden world of Alaska’s salmon sharks.

In co-production with Dangerous Passage Productions, the documentary uses cutting-edge camera technology to capture the behavior, environment and science of the rarely documented sub-Arctic Salmon Shark. The hour-long documentary follows on other Off the Fence productions for National Geographic Channels International, including the series Monkey Thieves and the one-hour special Sharkville. Off the Fence also recently produced Icebreakers.

Ellen Windemuth, the CEO of Off the Fence, said: “It’s great to be co-producing two new films with National Geographic Channel, whom we love to work with. Alaskan Killer Shark reveals unusual behavior and is visually spectacular whilst Icebreakers is an exciting new look at an iconic piece of engineering.”

Sydney Suissa, the executive VP of content for NGCI, added: “NGCI’s continued partnership with Off the Fence has resulted in remarkable natural history documentaries. With its stunning imagery, Alaskan Killer Shark brilliantly showcases a largely unknown apex predator uniquely designed for survival in the harsh waters off Alaska.”
