Spike Orders New Thom Beers Pilot

NEW YORK: Spike TV has signed up for a new season of 1000 Ways to Die from Thom Beers’ Original Productions, and has given a pilot order to a new offering from Beers, 1000 Ways to Lie.

Airing Sundays at 10 p.m., season one of 1000 Ways To Die averaged 1.5 million viewers, with the finale netting 1.8 million viewers. It showcases some of the most outrageously true stories about people who have died in unusual ways. The second season order includes the pilot for 1000 Ways To Lie, which features the most outrageous lies ever told in a fast-paced, tongue-in-cheek manner.

The MTV Networks-owned cable network has also ordered a third season of 10-episodes of the late-night show MANswers, which features male-oriented trivia.
