Sons of Anarchy Heads to Bravo U.K.

LONDON: Virgin Media Television’s male-skewing entertainment channel Bravo has secured the rights to the FX series Sons of Anarchy from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, as part of the British network’s efforts to bolster its prime-time drama slate.

Already renewed for a second outing in the U.S., the show, slated for Bravo’s spring schedule, is executive produced by The Shield‘s Kurt Sutter and stars British actor Charlie Hunnam alongside Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal and Drea De Matteo. It focuses on an outlaw motorcycle gang in a small Californian town.

Bravo’s channel controller, Dave Clarke, stated: “We’re excited and proud to have secured such a high-quality and successful series for our viewers. U.S. cable drama is the best in the world and FX are past-masters. Sons of Anarchy will be essential and compelling viewing for U.K. fans of both high-quality action and premium drama. The combination of impeccable casting and super-sharp, intelligent scripting makes for a turbo-charged hour of television.’
