New Original Web Series for Crackle.com

CULVER CITY: The online video network Crackle.com has lined up a number of original web series for its new 13-week season, which kicked off yesterday.

New shows added to the Crackle slate include Charlie Murphy’s Crash Comedy. Following his breakout performance on Chapelle’s Show, Charlie Murphy now has his own sketch-comedy series, which launches March 20. The series, produced by Iron Weed Productions and distributed by Sony Pictures Television, will have new episodes launched each Friday. Also new to Crackle is the hidden-camera series True Colors. The show, which premieres today with new episodes slated every Wednesday, pokes fun at racial stereotypes. Dwayne Smith (Lonely Girl), Lisa Bohacek and Circle of Confusion serve as executive producers of the series, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television.

Crackle’s new lineup will also feature the return of hit shows Anytime with Bob Kushell and The Jace Hall Show. Every Tuesday, new episodes of Anytime with Bob Kushell brings viewers everything they’ve come to expect from a late-night talk show—short monologue, comedy bit, in-studio band, celebrity interviews—all in a five-minute package, filmed in a garage in Van Nuys, California. Starting March 19, The Jace Hall Show will roll out new short-form episodes every Thursday. Created and hosted by Jason "Jace" Hall, the series mixes Hollywood glitz with the geekiness of videogamers.
