Oliver’s Twist Heads to UKTV Food

LONDON: The Jamie Oliver cooking series Oliver’s Twist, produced for Food Network in the U.S., is to receive its British TV premiere on UKTV Food today.

UKTV Food picked up the Fresh One-produced 40×30-minute show from FremantleMedia Enterprises. It will air every weekday at 9 p.m. "We are delighted to have acquired the U.K. premiere of this great series which features Jamie at his charmingly cheeky best," said Sarah Wright, UKTV’s director of content acquisitions. "It will make a fabulous addition to such stellar acquisitions as Hairy Bikers, Ace of Cakes, Barefoot Contessa, Masterchef and many more, which are already successfully airing on the channel."

UKTV Food’s channel head, Richard Kingsbury, added: "Jamie has an ever-green appeal to our viewers and this series is classic Jamie, whizzing around on his moped, serving up his culinary creations to friends and colleagues. We’re thrilled to be showcasing this entertaining series to British viewers for the first time."
