Channel Nine, Warner Bros. in FOXTEL Australian Deal

SYDNEY,
December 8: The Australian platform FOXTEL has secured the exclusive first-run
rights for a raft of U.S. series from Warner Bros., including Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,
for its owned-and-operated channels.

Under the terms of the
deal, Channel Nine has relinquished its first-run window to FOXTEL, which will
have exclusive first-run rights to all series.

Chuck,
about an unlikely secret agent, will debut on FOX8 in January. Privileged, based on the book How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls by Zoey
Dean, will make its premiere on FOX8 in early 2009. Also debuting in early
2009, season one of Pushing Daisies, a forensic fairytale
about a young man who has the ability to touch dead things and bring them back
to life, will air on W. The first season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor
Chronicles
will air in January,
with the Australian premiere of season two also set for FOX8. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a reinvention of the Terminator franchise.
