Boomerang Presents Full Month of Christmas Specials

ATLANTA,
December 5: Throughout December, Boomerang will showcase classic holiday
specials as part of a month-long Christmas Party, which will conclude with a
30-hour marathon on Christmas Eve.

Yogi's First Christmas, created in 1980, airs on December 6
at 4 p.m. The holiday movie features Hanna-Barbera's classic characters,
including Huckleberry Hound and Snagglepuss, who join Yogi at Jellystone Lodge
for a Christmas.

Casper's First Christmas, from 1979, follows on December 13 at
4:30 p.m. The story watches as a joyful group of cartoon friends visit Casper
on Christmas Eve. Hairy Scary tries to scare their Christmas spirits away until
a touching gesture changes his heart.

In The Town That Santa Forgot, Dick van
Dyke stars as the voice of a kind grandfather relaying the tale of Jeremy
Creek, a spoiled boy who learns it is better to give than to receive. The 1993
special will air on December 20 at 4 p.m. Following at 4:30 p.m. is The Smurfs Christmas Special. The feature, from 1982, watches as the Smurfs
must use all the holiday goodness they can muster to battle an even greater
evil than Gargamel.

On Christmas
Eve at 1:30 p.m., A Flintstones Christmas
Carol
(1994) features Fred, who plays Ebenezer Scrooge in a Bedrock
Community Players Christmas production, becoming a true-life Scrooge himself.
On Christmas day at 2 p.m., the 1984's two-part Nutcracker Scooby will air as an hour-long special. In it, the gang
tries to spread a little cheer when they are confronted by yet another creepy
ghoul.

"Boomerang's
'Christmas Party' takes us back to a time when families would gather around the
television for their annual favorites," said Stacy Isenhower, the senior
VP of programming and scheduling for Boomerang and Cartoon Network. "The
season truly is about family and togetherness, and our programming helps honor
that tradition."
