Gemini Winners Announced

TORONTO, December 1: The Academy of Canadian
Cinema Television unveiled the winners for the 23rd Annual Gemini Awards, with Durham County sweeping the drama
performance wins, and Project Runway
Canada
coming out on top as best reality program.

Durham County won for best direction in a dramatic series, and scored the wins in
both the drama actor and actress categories for Justin Louis and Helene Joy,
respectively. Best dramatic series, however, went to Intelligence.

The Englishman's Boy won out in the dramatic mini-series category, with
its lead actor Nicholas Campbell scoring a performance nod. Natasha Henstridge
of Would Be Kings scored the win for
female lead in the category.

This Hour Has 22 Minutes was named best comedy, while the cast of Cock'd Guns was awarded on the ensemble
side. The series also won for best comedic writing.
