BBC Knowledge Gets Korean Launch

LONDON, December 1: BBC
Worldwide has signed a distribution agreement to launch BBC Knowledge on
digital cable platform CJ HelloVision to more than 650,000 homes in South
Korea.

said: "South Korea is a crucial part of our channels expansion strategy in
Asia. I am confident the BBC's acclaimed and award-winning nonfiction and
factual programming, combined with CJ HelloVision's strong distribution
network, will make BBC Knowledge a choice destination for viewers in Korea."

BBC Knowledge
is carried by cable and satellite operators in Singapore, Indonesia and Hong
Kong, as well as Poland, South Africa and Australia, and will launch in
Scandinavia this month.
