Nordisk Drama Scores New European Deals

COPENHAGEN, November 14:
TV3 in Denmark has commissioned a third season of Nordisk Film TV World's hit
drama 2900 Happiness, which also
landed deals in Belgium and France.

VTM in Belgium acquired
the format rights to 2900 Happiness,
and will produce 24 hour-long episodes beginning in spring 2009. Meanwhile,
France's AB Group licensed the first season of 48 episodes to air a dubbed
version in 2009 on an undisclosed French network.

The new third season of 2900 Happiness will air in Denmark in
fall 2009. The drama's first season on TV3 raised the network's average weeknight audience share
five fold, while its second season resulted in an increase in the commercial
target group by 147 percent.

The CEO of TV3 Denmark, Jesper Grønholdt,
commented, "During the last two seasons, 2900 Happiness has been a
huge success for TV3. The series has had a great impact on the TV3 brand and
ratings. It has changed TV habits during the weekdays in this highly competitive
7:30 slot—and combined, it's only natural that we would want to produce
another season."
