ITV Global to Rep New Shaftesbury Drama

CANNES, October 13: Bloodletting
& Miraculous Cures, a one-hour drama
series from Shaftesbury Films based on a novel by Vincent Lam, will be
distributed worldwide, excluding Canada, by ITV Global Entertainment.

The series follows the ups and
downs of four main characters, from medical school through their internships
and on to their years as emergency room doctors. Bloodletting &
Miraculous Cures is produced in
association with Astral Media’s The Movie Network and Movie Central, a Corus
Entertainment company, as well as the Canadian Television Fund.

“Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures has gained considerable momentum since we announced the
series was greenlit by The Movie Network and Movie Central in April of this
year,” said Christina Jennings, the chairman and CEO of Shaftesbury Films.
“Shaftesbury is proud to once again working with a leading distributor and
long-term friends at ITV Global Entertainment.”
