APT Offering Up Factual Fare at MIPCOM

BOSTON, October 3: APT
Worldwide will bring to MIPCOM a host of documentaries, such as The
Linguists
and We are Wizards, in addition to music programs like Ani
DiFranco: Live at Babeville
.

The Linguists follows two researchers as they travel the world
to record nearly extinct languages, while We are Wizards explores the world of Harry Potter fans. The
Trial of Saddam Hussein
, a
documentary that looks at the trial of Iraq’s dictator, and As We Forgive, a commentary about reconciliation in the
aftermath of the Rwandan genocide, are also available. Everest: A Climb for
Peace
, which is about peace, war
and the human spirit, rounds out APT’s documentaries.

In the DIY category, APT
is presenting the new series Make,
which features people who combine technology and imagination to create homemade
devices. Also being offered is the HD travel special Great Lodges of the
National Parks
, which takes
viewers on a tour of America’s western and Pacific Rim national parks and their
historic lodges.

Additionally, the
distributor will bring the new concert film Ani DiFranco: Live at Babeville, which was shot in HD and features new and
familiar songs from the independent Canadian singer and songwriter. Passport
& Palette—Artist Instructional Series
reveals the world through the eyes of contemporary
master artists.

APT is bringing the
long-running series America’s Heartland to the international market for the first time. The series looks at
agriculture, horticulture and aquaculture from the perspective of those who
provide food to the world.
