Nickelodeon Latin America Preps Original Production

MIAMI, September 18: La
Maga y el Camino Dorado, a new
series based on the classic children’s tale The Wizard of Oz, is set to premiere on October 13 at 8 p.m. on
Nickelodeon Latin America.

The series, co-produced by
Nickelodeon Latin America, Illusion Studios and Dori Media Contenidos, combines
reality and fantasy to tell the story of a girl named Dorana, who much discover
how to enter the magical land of Oz through her imagination in order to free
the kingdom from the Wicked Witch.

"This new local
production completes our programming strategy for 2008, bringing fantasy, magic
and music to the network in an original and innovative format,” commented
Tatiana Rodríguez, the VP of programming and creative strategy for Nickelodeon
Latin America. “The premiere of this series reinforces Nickelodeon’s pledge to
promote local production and completes our slate of premieres for this year.”
