SPTI Content Heads to TV2 in Hungary

LONDON, September 15: A
licensing deal has been reached that brings a selection of movies and TV series
from Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI), including The Da Vinci
Code and Spider-Man 2, to Hungarian network TV2.

Other movies set to air on
TV2 under the deal include Hitch,
Click, 50 First Dates and 13 Going on 30, as well as a number of classics from Sony
Pictures Entertainment. TV2 will also have a selection of Sony’s TV series and
made-for-TV movies.

SPTI’s senior VP of sales,
Danny Goldman, said: “We are delighted to partner with a dynamic broadcaster
like TV2 in a highly competitive market like Hungary that presents exciting new
opportunities for our business.”

The CEO of TV2, Zoltán
Várdy, added: “Thanks to our agreement with SPTI, TV2's offer of films and
programs will be expanded to include even more blockbuster and TV hits in the
coming months and years. This is another major step for us in our efforts to
become the market leader in Hungary.”
