Sundance Channel Gives Go-Ahead to Eco Series

NEW YORK, August 8:
Sundance Channel has greenlit production on Eco-Trip: The Real Cost of
Living
, an eight-part series
hosted by eco-adventurer David de Rothschild.

Slated to premiere in
2009, each half-hour episode will trace the origins and environmental impact of
common products such as a cotton T-shirt, gold ring or cell phone. De
Rothschild, the founder of Adventure Ecology, will educate viewers on decisions
they can make to live a greener lifestyle.

Laura Michalchyshyn, Sundance Channel’s executive VP and general
manager, commented, "David has a wonderfully engaging and inquisitive
personality that will charm Sundance Channel viewers as they travel with him to
learn about the impact that the production of everyday objects has on our
health and on our planet. And once again we are delighted to be working with
the team at Peacock Productions."

."

Eco-Trip is produced by NBC's Peacock Productions (The
Education of Ms. Groves

, Global Warming: What You Need to Know). Sharon Scott is the executive in charge, Colleen
Halpin is the executive producer and Remy Weber is the director. The executive
producers for Sundance Channel are Michalchyshyn and Lynne Kirby, with Ann Rose
as the supervising producer and Benjamin Ringe and Knute Walker as the
co-executive producers for Peacock Productions. The series is sponsored by
Subaru.
