New Music-Based Series for Playhouse

BURBANK, July 29: Imagination
Movers
, a daily music-driven, live-action series for
preschoolers, will premiere with two consecutive episodes on September 6 during
Disney Channel’s learning-focused Playhouse Disney block.

Imagination Movers, filmed entirely in New Orleans, features the
eponymous alternative rock band playing music geared toward the preschool set,
emphasizing creative problem-solving skills. The series will launch
simultaneously on the U.K.’s Playhouse Disney channel, with additional rollouts
throughout early 2009 on Playhouse Disney channels and Disney Channels around
the world.

Online and on-demand
events will launch for the program on August 30, including full-length preview
episodes, multi-level games and interactive features. The series will also be
available on demand on mobile phones exclusively via Sprint TV through most
data plans.

"We have seen
first-hand how kids connect with the Imagination Movers and their music, and we
are excited to introduce the band to preschoolers and their families around the
world," said Nancy Kanter, the senior VP for Playhouse Disney Worldwide.
"In addition to their catchy music, the Movers are positive role models
for kids, as they help encourage creativity and the concept of brainstorming to
solve problems."
