Tele Munchen Group Scores MRC/ShineReveille Package

MUNICH, July 1: Following this year’s L.A. Screenings, Tele Munchen Group has entered into a multi-year output deal with Media Rights Capital and ShineReveille International, taking on the German-language rights to several U.S. prime-time series, including Easy Money and The Goode Family.

Easy Money, slated to air as part of MRC’s Sunday night block on The CW, is from Emmy Award-winners Dinane Frovlov and Andy Schneider. It tells the story of a family-owned loan sharking business. The Goode Family—from Mike Judge, the creator of King of the Hill—is an animated series for ABC about a family obsessed with doing the right thing.

Also included in the package is F.A.T. City, which is set in Last Vegas, focusing on a special police unit that tracks down and apprehends criminals on the run. It will air on The CW on Sundays, as will I.M. Valentine, about a private detective.

The output deal also includes Outnumbered, for FOX, based on a BBC series about a family struggling to raise three extremely intelligent kids, as well as Rita Rocks for Lifetime, The Life & Times of Tim for FOX and Krod Mandoon for Comedy Central.

“This excellent package strengthens the competence of the Tele Munchen Group in the area of high-quality American prime-time series for the German-speaking market,” said Bernd Schloetterer, TMG’s managing director.
