Launch Set for Battleship in Turkey

MUNICH, June 26: SevenOne
International’s family entertainment show Battleship, a celebrity-based adaptation of the classic board
game, will premiere live in prime time on Show TV in Turkey this weekend.

Battleship features celebrity contestants split into two
teams, playing from ships set in large pools. The opponents must try and use a
coordinate system to “sink” the other team’s ship, with players performing a
task as punishment when their minefield is hit.

In Turkey, the show will
broadcast under the title Amiral Batti, airing Sundays at 9 p.m. Presented by Behzat Uygur and Süheyl Uygur,
the series will feature celebrity contenders such as the teen girl band MP3 as
well as pop singer Izel, with TV journalists Mesud Yar and Saba Tümer as the
team captains.

Jens Richter, the managing director of SevenOne International, commented: “Battleship is great TV fun for the whole family. The game has
been an absolute classic for generations and now also delights a wide audience
in a television format. The classic board game has been turned into a modern TV
show with a major entertainment component.”
