Second Season for HBO’s In Treatment

NEW YORK, June 23: HBO’s
critically acclaimed original series In Treatment is due to return with Gabriel Byrne for a second
season in 2009.

Production is set to begin
this fall in New York. Byrne resumes his role as Dr. Paul Weston, with Dianne
Wiest also returning as Dr. Gina Toll, Weston’s own therapist. Additional cast
members will be announced as they are confirmed.

Joining the show as an
executive producer is Warren Leight, the Tony Award-winning writer of Side
Man whose TV credits include Law
& Order: Criminal Intent.
Returning executive producers on the show include Rodrigo Garcia, Hagai Levi,
Stephen Levinson and Mark Wahlberg.
