Fandango Acquires Movies.com

LOS ANGELES, June 23:
Comcast-owned Fandango has acquired Movies.com, a movie content site previously
owned by The Walt Disney Internet Group, and will now provide online ticketing
for Movies.com users, with access to more than 15,000 screens across the U.S.

Aside from ticketing,
Fandango.com provides exclusive movie trailers and videos, coming attractions
and user ratings and reviews, along with personalization features. Movies.com
is a complementary site that provides a broad range of information, including
movie synopses, reviews, movie and celebrity news and DVD releases, among other
features. Fandango’s ad-sales team will represent both sites with a wide
variety of advertisers.

"We are pleased to
expand our rich entertainment reach through this strategic addition of
Movies.com," said Chuck Davis, the CEO of Fandango. "We'll be able to
leverage our combined assets to offer millions of new moviegoers the best
movie-related information available on the web."
