AETN Shores Up Central and Eastern European Deals

NEW YORK/BUDAPEST, June
18: Czech TV is among several Central and Eastern European broadcasters that
have picked up content from AETN International, the distributor announced as
DISCOP opened in Budapest today.

Czech TV picked up a
package that includes the 29×1-hour Dogfights, the 10×1-hour Battle 360 and the acclaimed two-hour special Life After
People
, which was also picked up
by Channel One Russia.

Polish pubcaster TVP took
a one-hour Biography special on
presidential hopeful Barack Obama, as well as Child Warriors and Crude. Other deals include Kultura in Russia scoring the 13-part series Rome:
Rise and Fall of an Empire
and STB
in Ukraine picking up Human Weapon
and Criss Angel Mindfreak. Also
in Ukraine, the series Shockwave
and Dogfights went to Direct Sight/K1
Channel.
