Endemol Closes Pre-DISCOP Deals

HILVERSUM, June 17:
Endemol International has signed a raft of deals across Eastern Europe for its
portfolio of ready-made shows that will be showcased at this week’s DISCOP.

BBC Lifestyle in Poland
picked up season two of True Entertainment’s Design Star and Endemol UK’s Supersize vs. Superskinny and Coleen’s Real Women. MTV Poland has taken on Endemol USA’s dating
series Exposed.

In Bulgaria, Nova
Television Plus acquired a raft of Endemol USA programs, including Exposed, seasons one through three of Fool Around With…, the first two seasons of Extreme Makeover:
Home Edition
and I Want to Be a
Hilton
. Nova Television Plus also
recently acquired The Golden Cage and
There’s Something About Miriam,
along with Bulgarian versions of Big Brother and Big Brother VIP. Meanwhile, TV2 snapped up two dramas from Talpa
Media: the first two seasons of Goals and Lipstick and the first three seasons of Vipers Nest. The channel has also taken on seasons one and two
of Julia’s Tango, produced by
Endemol Netherlands.

Channel Cool in Hungary
acquired True Entertainment’s Battle of the Bods, while in Ukraine, QTV picked up Endemol Southern
Star’s Ralph TV alongside U.K.
and U.S. versions of Peoples Book of Records and Rollerjam.

Highlights to the
company’s DISCOP slate include programs from 51 Minds Entertainment, the U.S.
independent outfit that Endemol recently took a majority stake in, such as Glam
God
, New York Goes to Hollywood
and I Love Money. Also available for the first time will be Endemol
Argentina’s telenovela The Successful Mr. Pells.
