Boomerang U.K. Takes Season Four of Shaftesbury Tween Series

LONDON, June 11: Turner
Broadcasting in the U.K. has signed up for season four of the live-action
family sitcom Life with Derek
for broadcast on Boomerang in 2009.

The series, from
Shaftesbury Films in Canada, adds to Boomerang’s live-action content, which
includes My Spy Family, a
British series recently commissioned for a second season.

“Life with Derek is a popular show on Boomerang and we are
delighted to bring a fourth series to our viewers,” said Cecilia Persson, the
VP of programming, acquisition and presentation for Turner Kids. “Boomerang has
become the home of our live action shows such as My Spy Family and The Latest Buzz, and a new series of Life with Derek will only strengthen the channel’s offering”
