Mobile Game Set for Battlestar Galactica

BURBANK, June 6: Universal
Pictures Digital Platforms Group and Glu Mobile have teamed up to launch a new
mobile game based on the hit SCI FI Channel series Battlestar Galactica.

The game is set aboard the
BSG-75, and players have a chance to pilot three types of Vipers or Raptors
while defending the Fleet against Cylon attacks. Players begin the game as
rookies and progress in rank as they continue to play, with each promotion
unlocking new features within the game. There are 24 possible missions and additional
training missions, along with bonus stages and boss battles. The game also
allows for multiple-stackable ship upgrades and Wingman powerups. It is now
available on most major wireless carriers in North America, rolling out
worldwide shortly.

"We are extremely
pleased to introduce the Battlestar Galactica game for the mobile phone," said Jeremy Laws,
the senior VP of mobile and broadband at Universal Pictures Digital Platforms
Group. "On television, Battlestar Galactica is incredibly visual and full of action and we
wanted to deliver that same exhilarating experience to the mobile-phone gamer.
We know that fans of the series will love the adventure that awaits them in Battlestar
Galactica
the mobile game."

"We're thrilled to
have the opportunity to create a mobile game inspired by one of the most
popular sci-fi franchises of all time," commented Jill Braff, the senior
VP of global publishing at Glu. "We worked closely with Universal to
create a compelling space-shooter that lets gamers experience the excitement
and atmosphere of the Battlestar Galactica universe anytime, anywhere.”
