Fox, MediaWorks Renew Programming Agreement

LOS ANGELES, June 2:
MediaWorks NZ, which operates the TV3 and C4 channels in New Zealand, has
finalized negotiations to renew its programming arrangement with Twentieth
Century Fox Television Distribution.

The negotiation is an
extension of a relationship that was originally contracted in 2000, which
provides content for MediaWorks’ free-to-air channels TV3 and C4. Financial
terms were not disclosed.

“This renewal of our Fox
contract is great news for TV3, C4 and all our viewers,” said MediaWorks’
director of programming, Kelly Martin. “Hit TV3 shows such as Boston Legal, Bones,
Prison Break
, My Name is Earl and The Simpsons are all part of this relationship. We also have a
range of feature films tied into this arrangement, including box-office hit
titles such as Die Hard 4, Juno,
The Simpsons Movie
and Fantastic
4
.”

She added: “Our second
channel, C4, also benefits with renewal on popular animation shows Family
Guy
and King of The Hill. We have an excellent relationship with the team
at Fox, and we look forward to working even more closely with them in the years
ahead.”

Richard Samuels, the
senior VP and managing director for Asia Pacific at Fox, commented, “TV3 has
enjoyed enormous success with many of our signature shows over the past eight
years and with an exciting new slate of both series and feature films we
