Scripps Rolls Out Branded YouTube Channels

SAN BRUNO/KNOXVILLE, May 21: Scripps Networks has reached a deal with YouTube to launch branded channels for its stable of lifestyle networks—HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network and Fine Living Network—on the online video-sharing site.

These new YouTube channels will offer advice, inspiration and ideas for food and home, and will feature expert chefs like Paula Deen and Bobby Flay, as well as highlights from shows such as Design on a Dime and What You Get for the Money.

"It is our mission to be everywhere the audience is, and it is clear that YouTube and Google have a fantastic sense of where they are," said Deanna Brown, the president of the interactive group at Scripps Networks. "Having Scripps Networks channels available on YouTube offers our brand enthusiasts another touch-point with HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network and Fine Living Network; while also giving those new to the brands a chance to sample our content."

"YouTube is excited to partner with Scripps Networks and bring video from leading cable television channels like HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, and Fine Living Network to our community," added Jordan Hoffner, the director of premium content partnerships for YouTube. "How-to and lifestyle categories are among the most popular on YouTube. We are happy to meet the continued demand for lifestyle content by offering foodies, gardeners and decorators the opportunity to enter Rachael Ray’s kitchen, a Groundbreakers’ backyard, or a top interior designer’s home whenever they want."
