SPTI Names SVP for Digital Media, Global Ad Sales

CULVER CITY, May 14: Sony
Pictures Television International (SPTI) has upped Jamie Weissenborn to the
role of senior VP of digital media and global advertising sales for its
international group.

Weissenborn is charged
with oversight of the international networks group’s digital distribution
strategy, site enhancement, traffic-growth initiatives, media sales and digital
revenue. He oversees brand-driven partnerships and integrations for output used
on multiple screens, and manages online video, site design, search-engine
optimization, commerce and other site partnerships. Additionally, Weissenborn
continues to head global advertising sales initiatives, branded content and new
channel and revenue development. His responsibilities cover SPTI’s AXN, ANIMAX
and Sony Entertainment Television (SET) channel brands.

Weissenborn has served as
SPTI’s VP of global advertising sales for its international networks since
2004, and prior to that, as a sales, marketing and revenue consultant for the
international networks group.

“Jamie’s added
responsibilities come as a result of his unique skill-set and vision to enhance
our digital presence in a way that complements our ambitious television
strategy,” said Andy Kaplan, SPTI’s president of international networks. “As
advertising revenue becomes a bigger driver in our networks' growth, Jamie
plans to meet advertiser demand for digital marketing by creating cohesive,
cross-platform solutions that go beyond television spots and
sponsorships."
