Sweden’s GlobalFun, Turner Latin America in New Mobile Alliance

KARLSKRONA,
May 13: GlobalFun, a Swedish wireless entertainment outfit, has entered into a
development and distribution deal with Turner Broadcasting System Latin America
for two mobile games based on the Cartoon Network kids’ franchises Ben 10 and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.

The
two mobile games under development will be released in Latin America during
2008. Under the agreement, Turner Latin America will distribute the titles via
their own direct-to-consumer channels such as Cartoon Network’s websites, while
GlobalFun will manage distribution in other sales channels in the region.
GlobalFun’s local office in Buenos Aires will handle the development, project
management and distribution of the mobile games, while GlobalFun’s headquarters
in Sweden will secure quality, packaging and physical deployment.

The
Ben 10 series tracks the
adventures of 10-year-old Ben Tennyson. When Ben discovers a mysterious device,
he gains the power to change into ten different alien heroes, each with unique
powers. The new Ben 10 game, Power
of the Omnitrix
, will put players
in Ben’s role, fighting their way through 12 enemy-infested levels.
Fortunately, Ben has access to the Omnitrix and will be able to transform into
three different alien-heroes, including Heatblast, Fourarms and Cannonbolt.

Foster’s
Home for Imaginary Friends
follows
a group of imaginary friends that are not wanted anymore and end up at Foster’s
Home for Imaginary Friends. The Foster’s game will focus on the character Cheese, giving players the chance to
adopt Cheese and interact with him in original and funny ways.
