Televisa Picks-Up Free-TV Rights for Kids’ Series

PARIS, May 15: Taffy
Entertainment, in partnership with its Latin American agent Hola Entertainment,
has sold the free-TV rights in Mexico for the animated series Growing Up
Creepie
and The Fantastic Four to Televisa.

The 52×11-minute series Growing
Up Creepie
looks at adolescence
through the eyes of a 12-year-old girl who was abandoned as a baby and raised
by a family of bugs. The show launched last year on pay TV on Nickelodeon Latin
America and airs in the U.S. on the Discovery Kids channel.

The Fantastic Four is based on Marvel’s superhero franchise, which brings
to life the comic-book characters Mr. Fantastic, The Thing, The Invisible Girl
and The Human Torch. The show can be seen throughout Latin America on pay TV on
Cartoon Network Latin America.

“Televisa is
an ideal broadcast partner for these shows,” said Marie Conge, the senior VP of
international sales at Taffy Entertainment. “They are already the home for some
of the best kids’ programming in the marketplace and these programs will be a
perfect fit in their lineup.”
