Taffy Scores New International Sales

PARIS, May 9: Taffy
Entertainment has closed a slew of broadcast deals for several of its animated
properties, including The Fantastic Four and Code Lyoko.

The 26×22-minute series Cosmic
Quantum Ray
has been picked up by
Disney Channel Latin America and DeAgostini Neo Network in Italy. Growing Up
Creepie
was taken on by ATV in
Hong Kong, while seasons three and four of Code Lyoko went to Cartoon Network Australia and MTV3 in
Finland. The Fantastic Four was
sold to ERG Media in China and ABS-CBN in the Philippines, with PT Unggul Cipta
Piranti in Indonesia snapping it up for home video.

JimJam secured the rights
to ToddWorld and Ava Riko
Teo
. Ava Riko Teo is set to air on the channel in the Middle East,
while ToddWorld will be
broadcast in Italy, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Taffy also completed deals
with Brightspark in the U.K. for video rights to ToddWorld, SamSam, Pet Alien and Mix
Master
. Meanwhile, Sun TV in India
took on Code Lyoko, SamSam, Bobby’s World, Babaloos and Flight Squad.

“These deals,
representing a diverse number of territories, are further testimony to the
universal success of our animated properties,” said Lionel Marty, the president
of worldwide distribution at Taffy Entertainment. “Demand for high-quality,
engaging programming for kids continues to grow, and we’re glad that
broadcasters worldwide are responding to the quality of our shows.”
