Airey Exits ITV for Post at RTL

LONDON, April 29: After
less than a year in her role as the managing director of global content at ITV,
Dawn Airey is leaving the commercial broadcaster to take up a senior post at
the RTL Group that includes serving as the chair of Five.

Airey’s resignation from
ITV is effective immediately. She joined the company last May after a short
stint at the now defunct Iostar, following several years as the managing
director of Sky Networks at BSkyB. She joined the satellite platform in 2003
from Five, where she was director of programs and then chief executive. Her
career also included a stint as controller of arts and entertainment at Channel
4.

Lee
Bartlett, the COO of ITV Global Content, will act as interim managing director
of the division, reporting directly to John Cresswell, the COO of ITV plc.

Announcing
Airey’s resignation, Michael Grade, the executive chairman of ITV, said:
"We have assembled a strong team to lead our Global Content business and
they will now report to Lee. I will spend more of my time in the Content
business to ensure that the momentum is maintained."

It is not yet clear when
Airey will take up her new position at RTL Group.
